I have an old roland plotter that was working fine with
windows 98 hpgl driver but now with xp hpgl/2 driver it
doesnt work at all. Can I load my old hpgl driver into
windows xp pro? What could be my problem.

The word "old" may hold a clue.

The driver you are running may not have been properly
installed. Try uninstalling the device completely and then
do a clean install of the driver and then the plotter.
Follow the instructions that are on the HP website.

You must have the correct drivers for your device. If the mftr. doesn't
offer any for XP, see if there are drivers available for Windows 2000.
They might work. If the mftr. doesn't exist any more or you can't find
its website, do a search on Google like "plotter make/model drivers".
