Every once and a while when I run XP all of the icons do not show up in the
system tray area. I know the programs are running from looking at the
computer with process explorer. Anybody able to give me some help?

Is there a small, left-pointing blue arrow to the immediate left of the
clock when this happens?

Thanks for responding. There is no arrow. I did a Google search and it
appears this is a known problem with XP. I have not found an answer though.
Some times all the icons show up and other times they do not.

When it happens, does rebooting usually correct it?

The following might be worth a shot:

Hide or Show Notification Area Icons (Line 294, Right)

Save the REG file to your HDD. Double-click on the REG file to Hide or
Showthe icons, depending on what you're currently seeing.
