Hi:
I am wondering if somebody can answer the question I have about the
following "problem" with XP Pro and DVD XCopy. When I have DVD XCopy
installed on either Windows XP Home or Pro(right now I am using XP
Pro) and press either Restart or Shutdown, the PC takes about 20
seconds from the point where it says "Windows is Shutting Down" to the
point where it does restart or shutdown. If I uninstall the program,
it just take about 3 seconds to do exactly the same task of Restart or
Shutdown from the same "Windows is Shutting Down" point. I believe
this is cause by one of the driver that this program has which I
believe they called W2K/XP Gearworks Driver and its name is something
like gearworks.dll or something similar. Is there anyway I can avoid
this long delay before restart or shutdown (without removing the
program of course) or is it possible for me to force Windows XP to
unload this driver from memory much faster. Any help will be
appreciated. Thanks
