windows xp pro admin password

How can I reset an admin password for WinXP Pro. I am a AARP TaxAide
Counselor and we had loaned one of our laptops to another site and the
person that was using it is no longer available. We have the laptop back
but cannot get into it.

I know that older versions of Windows has password file, but I don't know
how to get by it in Windows XP short of reloading windows.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
