Windows XP Pro 64 bit, Service Pack 2 Buggy ?

Hello,

This is the first week of using Service Pack 2 for Windows XP Professional
x64 Edition:

Issue's so far:

1. 32 bit color setting changed to 16 bit color setting.
2. Login password not accepted.

and the most serious one so far:

3. Black screen, system went into sleep mode while in login screen after a
certain time of inactivity.

Didn't know how to wake the system, had to use the hardware reset button
which is bad and could damage hardware.

I checked power management settings, all settings set to NEVER, but computer
still went into sleep mode ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
