Hi:

Maybe someone could post here a better explanation of the EULA of MS.
Basically when it says 1-2 cpu means that you are licensed to use the
software, in a computer with 1 or 2 CPU in the same box. Also if it is a OEM
version, basically means that you can use this license, just in same box it
comes.

NO, the CPU is the little square chip inside the case. You may have 2
CPUs on the same motherboard. What you are calling a CPU is correctly
refereed to as a computer, and ONE license per computer is what is required.

No, the license limits the number of CPUs (which number varies for various
versions of Windows.) You can easily exceed the number of CPUs covered by
your license on a single computer. Note that these are physical CPUs. A dual
or quad core CPU counts as one CPU.

No, you can not do this.

You are misusing the word "CPU" to mean "computer." A "CPU" is a chip
on the motherboard, *within* the computer. Windows XP Professional
(but not XP Home) can run on a computer that has two CPUs on the
motherboard.

In no case can a single XP license be used on more than one *computer*
(except for a volume license).
