Windows XP Not Saving Roaming Profile

Is it possible to change the order in which Windows XP
closes network connections and saves settings? Currently
it closes connections and then saves settings but this
results in the user profile not being saved on the PDC
server, since the connection is closed. I need to change
to save settings THEN close connections.

Thanks,

When windows XP logs off the existing network connections will be disconnected. But the profile directory will not be mapped in the users context. It is the information that the domain controller provides where to upload the profile settings. Once the user logs off the profile will be uploaded to the server when the screen is at the saving settings screen

Pavan,

I think you misunderstood my question. I'm not asking
about where or how the profile is stored. Rather in what
sequence the client computer's shutdown process occurs. I
would like to change the shutdown process to save the
user's profile on the server BEFORE it closes the network
connections.
