Hello,
I am using a windows XP professional as a file server can anyone
help me that how many users can be connected to win xp pro at a time.

Max. is 10 concurrent inbound connections. That may mean 10 PCs with
files open on the "server", or it may mean less, depending on how those
10 PCs are used.
 
Interesting question. As an aside, might you know how many similar
connections would be allowed to a W2K Pro computer, used as a "file server"?

Same would be with Windows Home server too.
10 Concurrent connections.
It you need more than 10 the next step is Windows 2003 Small Business Server
(SBS) that allows 75 concurrent connections.

I don't recall. If there was a limit, I'd bet on 10; but W2K might have
followed the W9x way: unlimited.

Uh, XP HE has a limit of 5 inbound connections.
