Greetings Sean,

To fully remove Windows Messenger 4.x, close down Messenger if it's running (right
click the messenger icon in the notification area/system tray and click close). Then click
the start button, then click Run and type in (copy-paste if you like):

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,

how do i delete windows xp messenger?
.
I would not delete it! But if you must here is how.
1. go to start
2. all programs
3. accessories
4. Windows explorer
5. my computer
6. c drive or windows xp drive
7. program files
8. *windows messenger*
If you take this out it will not go back to the correct
place if you try to put it back in.
If you leve it in your recycle bin you can restor it at
any time.
Good Luck!
