Windows XP Media Center won't load drivers for NEXS iFlash M1 jumpdrive

Hi everyone,

I got a NEXS iFlash M1 jump drive a few days ago; it says no drivers
necessary except for Win 98/98SE on the packaging.

When I plugged it into my laptop (I'm running Win XP Media Center) up
pops the Add New Hardware Wizard. So I follow the prompts; it looks
for drivers on the machine and (presumably) on the Windows Update site
and says it can't find any.

I went to Windows Update myself too, didn't find any drivers.

I tried the jump drive on computers running Vista, Windows 2000 and
Win XP Pro and it worked fine;Plug n Play did its' thing.

I'm at a complete loss as to why Media Center refuses to 'Plug n Play'
the jump drive.

Can't find any help on the web; it was hard enough finding this site:
http://www.nexs.com.tw/modules/content/index.php?id=19

They have a driver there for the M1 (along with drivers for some other
products) but it's for Win 98.

Does anyone have any idea why Media Center won't Plug n Play the
iFlash? And/or can anyone point me in the right direction to solving
this little dilemma?

Thanks,

prodeji

Media Center Edition is a version of XP Pro so I doubt seriously that the
version of your system is the source of the problem. There is very little
on the internet about this thumb drive so you might try to contact the
makers at (e-mail address removed) and see if they have any suggestions.

I was afraid that might be my only recourse...
:)
