Windows XP Login Problem

Herman

I used a microsoft proggram called tweak and i removed my
login name at startup, thinking it would remove the whole
login process. The only login was mine, and now I can't
get to my desktop because there are no accounts to log in
with. Any soultions other than reinstalling windows? Thanks

If you have XP Home, you can reboot and go into safemode. You will have a
login window to enter your id and password. If you have XP Pro, you can
press CTRL+ALT+DEL to get the login window and enter your id and password.

There is a default Administrator account. Use this to log in and create a
new account.

Hold down Shift as you are getting to Welcome and the logons should
reappear. Or Boot to Safe Mode and you should at least have the
Administrator logon available

In that run TweakUI again and restore the check to 'show <you> on
Welcome screen' in the Logon page. The one you wanted is the Logon -
Autologon page where you can set it to automatically use your name and
password
