Windows XP Installing Trouble

I recently installed windows XP Professional after
reformatting my hard drive. I used the winnt.exe feature
to install it from a DOS prompt. It took about an hour to
copy files and then restarted. But after I get the screen
that says, "Windows setup is being restarted ......" it
goes black. Then the mouse appears in the middle and that
is all it does. It doesn't load the setup anymore and I
can't get it to do anything. If anyone knows how to get
the setup program to respond to me again, I would greatly
appreciate i.

I think you would be better off to boot from the XP CD and do a format and
clean install. The XP CD has all the tools you need.
