Windows XP Installation error?

We recently installed Windows XP, without deleting Windows 2000. Is there a safe way to delete the old system? Or should we just delete the new XP system and start over? I read that both will have to be removed. Any advice wil be appreciated.

Annie, it's best to start over. Do a clean install if you can.
But if you have Win2K and WinXP on the same partition. Check here.
