windows xp hot fix

When i go to control panel..add and remove programs i have about 15 windows hot fix programs listed..what are these and what should i do with them..i have downloaded a couple of "fixes" but should I remove the hot fixes any insight and help on this matter would be appreciated

No, you should NOT remove this. These are hotfixes and critical updates for
the operating system.

Just trying to help

There is a program that removes them from the add/remove list, without
uninstalling them......I can't remember which one it is, but it
works.......I know the person is a MVP that has the program.......Maybe Doug
Knox??

Do not uninstall them, they are the fixes.
However you can safely delete the uninstall files:

Greetings --

Hotfixes are the patches/updates to the OS that repair security
vulnerabilities or other bugs that have been found in the OS since its
initial commercial release years ago. Needless to say, there have
been quite a few things to fix. Yes, if you wish to remove all of the
patches and updates that you've presumably gone to some time and
effort to download and install, you may certainly do so. The choice
is yours. This will, of course, leave your OS in its original,
unpatched, out-of-the-box condition.
