I had placed my shortcuts (18 nos) on the task bar, to unclutter the desktop.
I dont remember how it happened, now tha task bar does not show the windows
that are open. Therefore when I minumise a window I lose it and am unble to
reopen it at the task bar. Can anybody help me out. Many thanks in advance.

Thank you Kelly for your prompt advice.
I have downloaded the VBscript file as advised and I assume I should double
click and execute it. But before I do that, can u assure me nothing else will
go wrong, as my knowledge is limited to a user friendly computer. Re your
query, the short cuts are placed at the bottom bar, which extends at right of
the 'start' tab. None of the open and minimised window tabs appear here as
they should.

Have a look at Kelly's tweak -
Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar (Line 240)

I assume you placed your shortcuts in the Quick Launch section.

Hi Dev, I'm not Kelly (I'm not that smart LOL).

Anyway, yes you double click on the file to make it work. If you're
concerned about anything, create a system restore point prior to executing.
Lots have used that tweak with no ill affects.

With regards to your shortcuts, I think you're referring to the quick launch
bar which is okay. I've placed a few in there myself.

Unfortunately no one can offer any guarantees but like I've said, many have
used the tweak with success.
