You mean "Activate" not "redister". Activation is compulsory, registration
is voluntary.
Use the telephone activation.

Cannot share windows xp home product key!

Since you all ready registered once, there is no need to register again, try
activating your windows xp home with it's own product key, and if that
doesn't work, try calling the phone # for where you live in the world and
activating by telephone, that should work!!! Does for me!!

Why are you telling me that?

Yes, I do. Many people here probably do.

And no, I will not tell you what my key is.

when i try to register

You mean "activate," not "register." Registration is completely optional.

windows xp home with the product key that i
have it says i have used that product key too many times

That's a terrible misleading message. There's no such thing as "too many
times," and you can reinstall and reactivate as often as you need or want
to.

You need to activate by calling the 800 number provided. It's simple and
easy.

Because I felt like it, Gordon!!! I am not telling you that, I'm telling the
guy who wanted someone else's product key! I'm sorry if you think I was
responding to you!

I'm not Gordon, but I'll take the opportunity to tell you that the message
you responded to *was* Gordon's. You need to be careful which message in the
thread you reply to. If you wanted to reply to "the guy who wanted someone
else's product key," then that's the message you should have replied to.

Why, yes, many millions of owners of legitimate licenses for WinXP Home
all have valid Product Keys.

when i try to register windows xp home with the product key that i have it
says i have used that product key too many times

Is this the Product Key that came with the installation CD that you're
using, or affixed to the side of the PC, if it was pre-installed?

If so, the error message you received is somewhat misleading. What it
really means is that you've activated "via the Internet too many times
within the last 120 days." Because there is usually no sound technical
reason for reinstalling and re-activating WinXP so frequently, the
automatic presumption is that the OS is being installed on multiple
machines. I really think Microsoft should fix this message, but it is,
in reality, a relatively minor "cosmetic" issue, so they're probably
giving more weight to some silly cost-benefit analysis more than they
are their customers' occasional confusion.

In actuality, there's no limit to the number of times you can
reinstall and activate the same WinXP license on the same PC. Nor is
there ever a charge. Nor does a Product Key (so long as it's not an
evaluation license) ever expire. If it's been more than 120 days since
you last activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able
to activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:

Piracy Basics - Microsoft Product Activation
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/basics/activation/

Windows Product Activation (WPA)
http://www.aumha.org/a/wpa.htm

If not, you need to purchase a legitimate license of your own.

so i would like to know if anyone here has a valid windows xp home product key

Again, millions of people have valid Product Keys, but you'll not have
much luck if you're seriously expecting one of them to simply give you
their license to use the OS.
