Windows XP - Home Edition

Can you instruct me how to manually run Tune-up Application Start in
Scheduled Tasks? In the Properties window of the Task it is scheduled to run
automatically at 9:30 PM on day 2 of every month. Under Task it shows Run As
6BT1G01/default.

In the Scheduled Tasks window, it is shown under the schedule heading as
'Multiple schedule ti...'.

I have tried several times to run it manually without success. It shows
'Could not start'. I set up a Password in User Accounts of the Control Panel
and also used this password in the Properties window of the task.

I have been successful in manuallyu running Disk Cleanup and cannot
understand why I cannot do the same with the above task. The reason I like
to be able to run tasks manually is to catch up when they are missed in thed
automatic process because the computer is shut down.

Can you help me with this? I would be very appreciative.

Many thanks.

I'm not familiar with that utility, but if it won't work manually it probably
won't work automatically. There might be something wrong with the program you
want to run automatically.
If posible, try reinstalling it.

S. Murder:

Many thanks for your response and suggestion. I have re-installed it
without success. It occurs to me now that this utility may have been a
carry-over from Windows ME when I upgraded to XP, and I am presently
investigating this. In the meantime, please consider the matter complete.
