I have a Toshiba laptop with windows xp home edition pre-installed. (No cd).
I was updating the system on MS last night and it was interrupted during the
install. Now the computer will not start in any mode. I think I need to
try to do a repair of the os but do not have a cd to use. How can I get one.
THe only thing I am able to do is to use the recovery disk and it will wipe
everything of of my computer. Thanks. Tommy

You have the Recovery Disk?
Good

Sometimes, the disk will have options:
* Full restore,
* Windows repair
* Drivers re-install

Try booting from the CD and see what options you get.

You will get a warning before it does anything drastic
