WINDOWS XP Home Edition continuously RESTARTS

N

Nicole Garcia

I have a virus on my computer that shut it down and now my
Windows XP Home Edition continuously restarts when I try
to use the computer. It goes through the Sony and the
Welcome screens but won't let me on to the desktop. I have
a Windows XP CD and tried to run the recovery console so I
could fix the Kernel32.dll file but it says I need an
administrators password. I DON'T have or remember it!!! So
what do I do?? I don't want to lose all my files by
reformatting. I can't upgrade my XP or else I will lose
some files and lose access to some other ones. I want to
keep everything on my computer. HOW DO I FIX IT?!?! PLEASE
HELP! :(
