I recently bought a used lease-return computer. It has Windows XP
installed and the original Certificate of Authenticity on the case.
Is there any way to get a Windows XP disk for this computer?
If not what are my options if I ever have to reinstall Windows XP?
Thanks,
Chuck

Its an OEM installation of winxp, check that there is no hidden recovery
partition.
Other than that buy a retail edition

1. Use a disk imaging program, such as Acronis True Image, to create
a backup image of your hard drive and save it to a DVD.

2. If it is a name brand computer then contact the computer
manufacturer/assembler about purchasing a replacement CD.

3. Some major brand computers come with a hidden "System Recovery"
partition on the hard drive that contains an image of the installed
Windows XP as it was when it left the factory. These computers also
usually have a utility program included that will create a set of
backup CDs/DVDs from the contents of the System Recovery partition.

Good luck
