I have windows 98 on my IBM computer. I ran a virus scanner that found no
viruses. I tried to install windows xp, and it tells me I have some corrupt
files and it cant install certain files. how do I find these corrupt files.?
and instead of upgrading, should I do a coplete set-up? please help...

try to run windows setup by booting from the cd. select new install. the cd
will search your drive and see you current windows on the hard drive and will
ask if you want to repair it or install a new windows from scratch.....

Did you bother to run the Upgrade Advisor to make sure you present system
and the hardware/software is compatible with XP?
