Windows XP and Vista

Thank you very much for your excellent advices. I very appreciate all
of you.
Many of you ask what kind of software I am going to install. I am not
a guru Windows PC person,
at least I don't consider I am very good at Windows PC.
I develop software, so I am going to install Java, perl etc.
I have Microsoft offices for Windows XP professional, could I use the
some software (Microsoft offices) for
Vista?
