My 2 year old son has a habit of powering off my XP desktop pc. At work, we
have windows 2000 and if you press the power button, the pc does a proper
shutdown and then powers off.

Is there a way that I could set this up on my home XP workstation and if so,
could someone give me directions on how to do this.

Thank you

In Control Panel - Power Options - Advanced, the pane 'If I press the
Power button' - Shut down
