I am trying to use parental controls on my kids computer. The way it is set
up, the first web-site they view is OK, but other web-sites embeded ask for
a password. How can I get the system to allow embedded web-sites within a
web-site I deem OK to be viewed without a password. This is very anoying.

Then you're referring to Content Advisor, I assume.

Please explain what an "embedded website" means (e.g., a link on a webpage
to another webpage on the same website). Do these "embedded websites" open
in the same window or in a new tab?

The computer only do what you let it do.
I'm sorry ,but computer not god,It don't know what you are think.

They open in a new tab. You are correct about content advisor. Please help
as my kids get frustrated asking me to put in a password to a site already
approved.

IE Tools > Internet Options > General > Tabs > Settings > Open links from
other programs in > Select "The current tab or window"

Try asking in an IE7 group. Notice this group is for XP, NOT IE7
