Windows XP 64 bit

I am having great difficulty getting past the first setup
screen in win 64bit.

I have an ath64 but I cannot install 64bit winxp.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using the right 64-bit Windows edition?

The released version of Windows XP 64-bit requires an Intel Itanium
processor. See <http://support.microsoft.com/?id=306856#2>.

The version you need for Athlon64 is "Windows XP 64-Bit Edition for
64-Bit Extended Systems", and it is only available as a trial download
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/downloads/upgrade.asp).

Assuming this is the version you are trying to install, your best bet
for obtaining support is the forum Microsoft created for that purpose:
