Windows XP 64 bit

Hi
I am just wondering if Microsoft has any intensions
in the near future to release a 64 bit version of
Windows XP for purchase. I am interested in building
a new system with the new AMD 64 Processor for desktop
machines. I know 32 bit operating systems work with this
processor. But why spend the money if you can't buy the
64 bit operating system seperate.Thats really the whole
idea behind this processor.
