Hey all,
i am having troubles with my computer, i was running XP PRO and reformatted
last night, but my computer will freeze during the install of XP (when it
gets to the part about Display Settings) if i reset and manage to log in with
out it freezing it will freeze if i try and use the Display Properties.. I
have tried it with 2 nvidia cards i know are in good working order and it
still doesnt work. they are a 7600 and and 5200 if that is of any help.. i
have got it working currently witha radeon 9250.. also i cant install Nvidia
drivers cause there is "no nvidia hardware installed"... does anyone know of
this problem or a way to fix it?

If you are using a Radeon, then naturally you can't install Nvidia
drivers since ATI makes Radeon cards. You need ATI drivers.

You might try to install the motherboard chipset drivers before installing a
nVidia video card driver. This should provide access the the AGP/PCIe slot
info.

If you had to reinstall Windows to fix a sound card program, chances are you
originally uninstalled or disabled your windows sound drivers.

You can't do that; sound card drivers work with the Windows drivers. In
specific ways I'm finding Microsoft reluctant to explain.
