I have XP in my computer. I don't know if I ever need another OS.
Does anyone can tell me
honestly what are so greate about Vista over XP? I know nothing
about Vista.
I don't know if I ever need to upgrade from XP to Vista. What is so
great about Vista?

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Vista looks cool. XP works better. Almost as good as linux ;)

If it ain't broke... Well, no point in replacing anything with something
else more broke.

I wouldn't get it unless you are upgrading to a new computer and your old
one is running windows ME.

Vista will be a great OS once all venodrs get drivers and if you have a
powerful computer with lots of RAM.
Nothing to get too excited over right now. Give it a year, then try it.

Honestly, VISTA is *merely* different with some additional security
checkpoints.

If you are attracted to change and something different, then I recommend you
upgrade.

However, if you prefer convention and status-quo, I recommend you stay with
XP.

Hi. I just installed Vista Business.....is a mess.....nothing is good for
it..all drivers are old...is crashing pratically once per day..i have a Sony
Vaio..and my hardware score is 3.3 I miss my XP...At this stage i dont
reccomend to anybody to move to Vista. And then had Office 2003 and now
daesnt work anymore in Vista...you should go in Office 2007...they are
smart...
Im triyng to go back to my old system.

Hi,

Does XP do what you need your system to do? If so, then you don't need to
upgrade. If there is something in Vista that is not in XP that you want,
then you can consider it. Factors:

- Better memory management
- Improved user security scheme (programs run within a user environment
rather than the system, if you bugger up something, it doesn't kill the
machine)
- Snazzy UI with the new aero effects (basically windows are framed with a
translucent border). Not essential but looks good

If you don't know of a reason to 'upgrade' then you certainly don't need
it. I'd advise you to wait for at least SP1 anyway, there are many many
problems.
