Windows Vista Ultimate (retail) deactivates after unplugging RAID

This is freaking ridiculous! I bought an upgrade to Windoze Vista Ultimate
Retail (64-bit) installed and and activated it ok. I have a 5 disk hot
swappable RAID array and I had set up a couple of RAID volumes. I unplugged
one of the RAID volume sets and when I rebooted I got "Hardware change
detected... deactivating......". Ok, so I'll just reactivate online...... I
get the error "This product key already activated....". I had to spend 15
minutes on the freaking phone talking to some that could barely understand
English! What kind of cr@p is this?????? I never had any issues with Windows
XP unplugging and re-plugging disk drives! I bought this RAID array, which
allows you to hot-swap disks so that I could "HOT SWAP DISKS" but if I have
to re-activate MS Winblows every freaking time I do that OVER THE FREAKING
PHONE what is the point! What happens if I unplug/replug an external drive
plugged in to an eSATA port? Will that cause Winblows to be deactivated as
well??? Man, MS is losing the plot on this one! If MS wants to alienate
customers, they are going about it the right way! I am so pi$$ed off at the
moment! I paid $250 for an upgrade to this! Man I must have lost my freaking
mind! Where did I put that SUSE Desktop Linux distro.....

Do you have the latest x64 drivers installed for your RAID controller?

Yes, I have installed the latest Intel RAID drivers for Vista x64 . I hope
this is just a bug.... if it is "broken as designed" then I am going to send
this piece of junk back to MS for a refund!

Its not the operating system that is at fault, its the poorly written device
driver for your RAID setup.

Do you have a DELL system? If so, this is a known problem with a simple fix.

It's a hardware conflict.

Quoted from the MS website:

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/productrefund/refund.mspx

Microsoft offers a 45 day refund on all there products.

Along with a up to 7.00 for return shipping. The number to call:

1-888-673-8624

This applies to retail items purchased in North America only. If it is
an OEM item, you need to return it for a refund from the OEM you
purchased it from.

How do you figure that? You trying to tell me that Intel wrote the copy
protection software for M$? Yeah right..... Since Intel pretty much owns the
market in hardware that this cr@ppy OS can run on... M$ could at least make
sure that the OS behaves itself on that hardware!

If the drivers are the problem, there is little Microsoft can do since
Microsoft does not write drivers for 3rd party products.

My point is that Intel is a pretty big player in the Microsoft world.
Microsoft (I would hope!) should at least test their copy protection software
with the latest Intel hardware to make sure that their are no issues. If
there is an issue then they should work with Intel to rectify the problem! I
as a customer, should not have to be concerned with who's fault it is that it
is broken.... just fix the thing for ffs!

This most likely is one of the problems contributing to the buggy DRM in
