hi i was wondering if anyine could help me. I just bought a new vista
computer from dell and i am loving it! the only problem is that every so
often the quick launch bar and the area where the clock is is going all weird
and the open progams that are on the start bar are disappearing behind the
start button. When this happens the start menu comes up blank and the sevice
tray goes black. does anyone know how to fix this?? please reply asap, thank
you in advance!

Hi daffy--

1) Try running SFC by typing cmd in the search bar above Start> then when it
shows up on the top of the start menu>right click cmd>run as admin> then at
cmd prompt type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. This should replace

2) Try using this regedit made easy for you with a gui and a few clicks by

Click "Taskbar is missing."

Use this .vbs script (safe-will not hurt you) from Kelly:
