The computer is set up with 4 users 3 of them are normal users and 1 is
admin, if admin tries to log in on boot the computer does a memory dump and
shutdown, if any other user logs in the computer works fine. if you try to do
anything that requires admin approval from any other user and you enter the
password and click ok it does the memory dump and shutdown, what could be
wrong couls a virus have attached itself to the admin passwork somehow? any
help apreciated.

Hello,

Can you look through the event log and find out more information about
the error?

- Click start
- Type: event viewer
- Press enter
- Select the system log
- Look for and select any relevent entries
- click on details
- right-click inside details, click select all
- right-click, copy
- paste into a reply message

Hi Jimmy,
I purposely crashed the computer but it did not generate any logs for the
event.
I have reinstalled the laptop now hopefully it will not happen again. I
think it might have had something to do with the ipod software that somebody
else installed.
Thanks anyway.
regards Gordon.
