Windows Vista and shells (Can you replace Explorer.exe?)

I think you fall under the category of "I do not know what a sheel is."
Please do some research on what a shell is and why it was created before
responding.

We know what the shell is, but in Windows it is never necessary to change
the operating system for normal users. If you want to play with the kernel
of every computer you touch this is not the NG to use. We can help yopu use
desktop shells of course but perhaps as a Unix expert you would think that
tame.

Nowhere did I ever say I was a UNIX expert. In fact I am quite the opposite
and one of my posts lower in this chain will show you my interactions with
OSes. I am looking for #1 anyone who knows about any different shells for
Vista and #2 their experience with those said products.

So does anyone know about any 3rd party shells for Vista that makes it work
more like XP than "Classic menus"?
