Windows upgrade to WPA w/o SP2

My daughter is using an old (2000-model) Compaq notebook and doesn't have the
space/resources to allow upgrade to SP 2. W/o SP 2, XP does not provide the
option of WPA. Is there a way to enable or upgrade to WPA w/o SP 2
installation?

You should ask this in a public networking-related group. I know there are
folks there who might know this answer. I don't and I'm doubful whether
others here will.

Frankly, I'd strongly encourage getting the machine to SP2. Copy all the
music off it onto an external or networked drive, install SP2, install the
40 some at least critical patches since SP2, and then see what room there is
to move some of it back . Is it possible this machine is still formatted
Fat32, rather than NTFS? If so, you might save some space by converting to
NTFS.
