Windows Updates

I've heard several times in the media over the past few days that there's a
new security patch for XP after the discovery of something in China, and
that the patch is critical. I've just been to Windows Update, and the last
patch I saw was written in August and updated over a week ago. Is this it?
Or is it something else?

Did I ask a wrong question, do I have the wrong newsgroup, or is there some

Thanks, Alex.

I just figured out what was unclear to me a moment ago and installed the
required patch. I'd installed an earlier one three weeks ago and thought I
was covered, as far as Blaster is concerned, but realised the patch offered
was a newer version.

and get the first of the three packages linked. DOwnload and run to
install it
