When I tried to run windows update this morning I got the following
message....

Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the

You must be running a Microsoft Windows operating system in order to use
Windows Update.


I am running XP HD v6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633IC
128 bit encryption.

Everything seems to be just fine. Everything works great. I just can't
access the MS site for updates now. This is a brand new quirk this morning.
Tried rebooting, ran system scans, registry scan, purged all temp files and
folders and everything is benign. I am stumped .... any body have a clue?

If you are using something like Adaware to block
advertising, try disabling it before updating.
