Windows Update

When trying to access Windows Update, IE just hangs while my DSL box shows a
steady steam of activity. I've used IE tools/options to delete temporary
files and cookies, rebooted, turned off my firewall, all to no avail. Anyone
have any suggestions?

associated with the download/install.
