Windows update

Hi

I can't find a newsgroup for this, though there is one
shown on Mozilla Firefox!

I have tried to connect to Windows Updaten today, and it
has taken me for the first time to the v5 website. It has
sat for 10 mins checking for the latest version of the
windows update software and yet I have changed mo
security settongs.

Is it just delay due to the load at MS? Do I need to
worry? I have done it several times with the same result.

You can find peer-to-peer support for Windows Update issues in
the Windows Update Newsgroup which is AKA:
microsoft.public.windowsupdate newsgroup

The following page has links you can click to access the
newsgroup with your Web browser, or with a Network News Transfer
Protocol (NNTP)-based newsreader such as Outlook Express.
