Windows Update won't install

E

Ed.

I have a Windows Update for Internet Explorer and Internet Tools. It won't
install. I run the ie6setup.exe or whatever the name is and I accept the
license agreement. It downloads and then starts to install.

A message them comes up and says:

"The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo Testing to
verify it's compatibility with Windows XP. This software will not be
installed. Contact your system administrator."

Then I click OK and it says:

"Setup was unable to install all the components. Please close all
applications and try running Setup again."

I have done that several times and same thing. I am the administrator I
can't get pass this. Can anyone offer any suggestions? They will be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed.
