Windows Update V5 Doesn't work

Windows Update v5 searches for updates indefinitely and
never finds any updates. Worked fine with V4 of Update
but not V5. Any ideas??
 
I had the same problem and found that I have to change my firewall (Sygate)
settings for svchost.exe to "Ask" while V5 searches for updates and it then
finds them. Immediately after downloads change back to "Block". V4 worked
fine without having to do this.
