Windows Update Site

When I go to the Windows Update page and select the
option to search for any required updates to my system,
the search appears to begin but nothing happens and no
results are displayed. Active Tasks show it running but
after some 45 minutes still no updates were displayed. I
know I have updates to re-apply after running 'System
Restore' following a Windows crash. Anybody else ever
experience this? I also submitted an email request for
help to MS Tech Support.
