Windows Update Provider

I have a prompt that continually appears when using Windows XP and any programme associated. It is a prompt for the Windows Update provider looking for a file it can not find

The file is "trickler_4010.exe-Entry Point Not Found" The procedure entry point WSCUpdateProvider could not be located in the dynamic link library WS_32.dll. How can I restore this file so that that prompt is not appearing on screen all the time
Does anyone please have any ideas? they would be very much appreciated.
