windows update not working

I have an ISA server - the Windows Update process does not work ON the ISA
server
but DOES work on clients behind the ISA box...

Any ideas? Any special ports / permissions that Windows Update needs?

Do you see event 16 in your eventlogs as well?
You might have to create an allow rule in ISA. Have a look at 295667.
