Windows Update KB824105

Update KB824105 will ot apply on my brand Dell Desktop
with XP Pro. All other XP updates applied.

What is so special about this one?

Appreciate any help.

Try using Windows Update, allowing its V4 Engine to identify updates your
machine needs instead of picking & choosing ones you /think/ it needs,

To assure a clean install, your anti-virus application should be disabled
and all other running processes closed before going to Windows Update and
when downloading/installing from any MS page.

What are the specific indications of "why" it will not apply?
You must look for the "Error" codes & text in your Windows Update.log . What is your "Error" ?
%WINDIR%\Windows Update.log --Scroll all the way down (using Notepad ) to get to last sections of it,
where the last sessions will be.

C:\Windows\Windows Update.log (for Win XP & Win98 & Me)
C:\WINNT\Windows Update.log (for Win XP & WIN2000 )
