You haven't told us how you connect to the Internet, so all I can do is
guess that you've got incorrect DNS. Perhaps you had a static IP and set
your DNS manually where you lived before.

Call your ISP and get the correct settings for your new location.

Dear Friend

IN USA i used wireless internet. But when i migrated to India my Airtel DSL
service providers did the correct settings for DNS after DELL people
reinstalled the Windows Vista home Edition from the DVD i got when purchased
the laptop.

Secondly Same DNS works fine on my Desktop computer with wondows XP. But its
not working on windows vista home edition/ internet explorer 7.

Thanks

You're still not telling us enough to help you.

1. Did the Airtel service ever work on the laptop? If yes, what changed?

2. You're quite sure the settings are identical on the desktop?

3. Did you install the drivers for your wireless hardware after
reinstalling Vista? If not, that's what you need to do. If you are using
the built-in wireless adapter, get the Vista drivers from Dell. If a
third-party wireless adapter card, get the Vista drivers from the card mftr.

4. Does the Airtel DSL service support Vista?
