Windows update - download these?

Windows update is suggesting that I download Jet 4.0 service pack and
..NET Framework version 1.1. Have no idea what these things do, or
whether there's any necessity to download them. ??? Thanks!

Jet 4.0 you can get. .Net you most likely don't need, unless you have
programs that need it to run.

It updates the xp jet database engine that works with programs such as:
Access 2000, Microsoft Office 2000 Developer, Microsoft Visual Basic version
6.0 or later, and other Microsoft products that incorporate Microsoft Jet
database engine 4.x.

You may not need this one as well. I use access so I got it.
