Hi

my win 2k server takes 1.5 hr to startup.

After an attempt to restart from windows critical update,
it stops at the graphical windows startup screen (splash
screen)with the progress indicator at mid level.

I have un-installed all the critical updates on that day,
but still, the server takes about 1.5 hrs to restart.

Now about every 2 hrs, the following 2 error events are
captured in the event viewer, system log. dunno if they
are related to the 1.5 hr reboot delay...

1) Event ID: 9 Source: adpu160m
The device, \Device\Scsi\adpu160m1, did not respond within
the timeout period.

2) Event ID: 2506 Source: Server
The value named IRPstackSize in the server's Registry key
LanmanServer\Parameters was invalid. The value was
ignored, and processing continued.

Can someone please advise? cannot trust the windows update
anymore... ...
