Windows thinks my USB drive is a floppy?

Hi All,

This one has me puzzled, and pulling out my hair. I have a 128 mb USB jump
drive, which works fine on my old PC, but not my new one. I also have a 64
mb jump, which works fine on both PCs.

When I plug in 128 mb drive into my new PC, Windows (XP Pro) recognizes it
correctly, but when I try to copy a file to it, Windows give me this error:
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into Drive S."

There are no device errors or conflicts in the Hardware Manager, and the USB
drive's property are correct when I view it with My Computer>Manage>Disk
Management

Any idea what might be going on?

Thanks,
Larry

Do you have any mapped network drives detached? Are you sure that the drive
letter you use is correct? I inserted my jump drive and xp recognised it but
had assigned an unexpected (presumably used) drive letter from the other
network computer which was not switched on.

No, I have no mapped drives at all. "S" is the next available drive letter
when I plug in the device. (I have lots of partitions).
