windows that trail

I'm having a recurring problem in that when i grab window ( from the top
blue bar) to move it around it 'trails' leaving 'shadow' windows everywhere.
Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

Amount of RAM in the system? Video card make/model? Some history of the
machine?

Oops, I have XP/sp2 384Mb P4 2.4Ghz, loaded with Norton PF,AVG7,IE7
Right now TM shows available Mem at 100Mb,Page file 85 MB(VB script file)
Radeon 9200 128 Mb. Hope you can help

Do the trails leave? Does it help to press F5 to refresh the screen?
You might try lowering graphics hardware acceleration slide. You can
lower graphics hardware acceleration in Display Properties, Settings
tab, Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. If this helps, you probably
need a different graphics card or drivers.

There's also an option to turn off "Show windows when dragging". Open
Display Properties, Appearance tab, click Effects button, and deselect
there.
