windows start menu

Windows Start Menu usually records what I open,
I would like to know how they are recorded.
I don't know much about this, please help me

You can change how many items are recorded by right clicking the Start
button. Then select Properties. Click the Customize button. Under the
"Programs" section you can adjust the number of items that will be
displayed. You can also clear the list from there.
