Windows size

I have a laptop.
I used AOE 2 on it, which automatically resizes the window. It even boots
up small so it seems to affect the BIOS settings possibly.

I can't get it back to how it was.

I have connected the lappy to my LCD and it shows smaller screen with black
border, ruling out the lappy monitor.

I am convinced there is a really easy setting somewhere but can't see it for
the life of me. Any help appreciated.

Update the Graphics Driver from the Computer Manufacturer's website.
